On Nov. 12th, the 2017 New Cup soccer match in Henan University which lasted about one month ended with enthusiastic acclamation among all players. The soccer team of our college overcame all obstacles and tired their best in this match. Finally, they got the third place.

In the first game, our soccer team against the soccer team of Eurasia Institute won the first round with the advantage of 2-1, which started their journey in the New Cup. The second game was the competition between our soccer team and soccer team of the Medical College. We achieved good result with the score of 3-1 and won the second round. The soccer team of Civil and Architecture College was our competitor in the third game. Our players who carefully guarded and tired to offend them beat rival with a narrow score of 3-2 in the end.

Our soccer team who went ahead steadily and surely dominated the knockout. First of all, we defeated the team of Physics and Electronic Engineering College with a 3-1 win. In the Final Four competition, our soccer team was defeated by the team of Software College. However,our players never gave up on the field and struggled until the last minute, which won the respect from competitor. During the last game, our soccer players met the old rival,the soccer team of Eurasia College. We played with our best level and triumphed with the score of 5-0 at this time.

As the whistle sounded, our soccer team ended its journey in “New Cup”. In the competition, soccer players in our college experienced failure and got injured, but they never gave up. So they finally get the second place.

This “New Cup” soccer match not only built our body, showing the youth vigor of our college students, but also create a platform for mutual exchanges among colleges. We took part in this match in the spirit of “friendship first, competition second,” and showed our levels. Since the time of setting up our soccer team is not long, it is incredible for those old teams that we achieved such good result.
