The students of Grade 2016 in our college held Fun Games and Spring Off-road Orienteering Activities in the Nanyuan Square on April 22th so as to enliven students’ after-class cultural life and adjust their intense learning rhythm. A total of 110 students from four majors in the whole grade participated in those activities.

Fun Games began firstly. The students came early to the Nanyuan Small Square at 8 a.m. and did all the preparatory work. The first event was the collective rope skipping competition, which was a test of timing. It was easy to jump over the rope, but difficult to get in and out.The slightest carelessness in the game can make one tripped up by the rope. After several rounds of fierce competition, the students of Automation Specialty won the first place. Next up was the tug-of-war. The students of each class clenched their fists, trying to achieve excellent results. However, the process of competition was beyond all expectations, in which the strength gap between each class became more obvious. After a brief stalemate, it presented one-sided trend and the result soon came out in a few short rounds. The 16 Grade students of Automation Specialty won a sweeping victory and took their second top spot. At the event, the students were very enthusiastic, and they temporarily added the game hawks-and-chicken. The “hawks” were very fierce but the “hens”were not afraid to protect their own “chickens” firmly. The nervous “chickens” croaked loudly in fear of being caught by the “hawks”in an unguarded moment... After several rounds of fierce attack and defense, the students of the the College of Environment and Planning got first place by virtue of the hens’ nearly perfect defense and the chickens’ flexible dodges. The first place in the event.

Then came the spring off-road orienteering activities. Unlike ordinary off-road activities, this event was interlaced with many interesting mini-games, which were very creative. As the "start" order issued, the students quickly rushed to various project sites and began a series of challenges in which they tried to move the facial muscles to reach Oreo on the cheekbones, or endeavored to pose funny facial expressions to take photos within four people, or worked together in a team to squeeze balloons, or made amusing dubbing ...Students have developed a lot of “hidden skills”in those activities, which were really brilliant and fantastic.

Finally, the event ended in the laughter of the students. Although there were few event items, they were full of interest. The students united, cooperated and worked hard in the activities, fully demonstrating the college students' youthful vigor and positive spirit.
